The Story

Built From the
Inside Out.

If you asked Scott Lopez what he does, he'd probably shrug and say "I'm just a dumb sales guy whose brain never stops creating." That's the most accurate inaccurate description you'll ever hear.

The truth is Scott is the rare combination of left-brain business builder and right-brain storyteller — a guy who spent almost three decades at the intersection of technology, marketing, and production before he finally built the thing he always knew needed to exist.

He didn't go to Harvard. He didn't go to college at all. He went to Fort Knox. The United States Army taught him what no MBA program does: accountability without excuses, speed under pressure, and what it actually means to lead people when the stakes are real.

That foundation went with him into the IT distribution channel — Ingram Micro, TD SYNNEX, CDW, Atos — where he learned how brands actually get built and sold, not from a textbook but from the inside of the machine. He helped create CDW's Proline brand and Ingram Micro's Netpatibles. He watched million-dollar campaigns succeed and fail and learned exactly why.

405 Madison is what happens when all of that experience finally has a building to live in.

The Philosophy

D Students Run
the World.

Robert Kiyosaki said it. The data backs it up. Roughly 35% of entrepreneurs are dyslexic — far above the general population. A 2015 Cass Business School study found that the world's most successful entrepreneurs were disproportionately below-average academic performers.

A students work for the government. B and C students work for private sector. D students work for themselves — because they had no choice but to figure things out without a roadmap.

Scott didn't get a degree. He got 30 years of experience, an Army discipline that never leaves you, and a building full of production equipment. That's the differentiator. Not a diploma. Not a corner office in a national agency. Real-world expertise, owned infrastructure, and skin in the game.

The economy is slow. It's going to get slower. The entrepreneurs who built something real over the last 15 years are the ones who need a partner who gets it — who knows that every dollar has to work harder now, and who has the tools to make that happen without charging you for the middlemen.

"You want a college kid with zero real-life experience? Don't call me. I didn't go to Harvard. I went to Fort Knox."

— Scott Lopez, Founder

  • Accountability over credentials. What you've built matters more than where you studied.
  • Infrastructure over promises. We own the studio. The camera. The mic. You don't pay for rentals.
  • Speed over perfection. In a slow economy, the brand that ships wins.
  • Transparency over agency theater. You see every deliverable, every metric, every dollar.
  • Retention over acquisition. The best client we have is the one we keep for 10 years.

The Infrastructure

The Studio Isn't a Perk.
It's the Proof.

Every agency claims to be different. Most of them use the same pool of freelancers, rent the same studios, and hand your project off to someone you've never met.

405 Madison built Firehouse Studios so that claim would never apply to us. When we say nothing is outsourced, we mean it — because we own the building where it happens.

Production crews of 40 have worked in Studio A. Indeed, Tecovas, and Community Coffee have shot national campaigns on our cyclorama. The podcast studio has broadcast-grade mics, an ON AIR sign, and leather chairs that tell your guests this is the real thing.
